Retha Ann Padgett, 59, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born in St. Petersburg, FL, and lived in Interlachen for 7 years following a move from Baker County.
Retha drove a school bus for public schools for more than 5 years and was like a mother to her bus kids. She loved fishing, cooking, and spending time with the family, especially her grandchildren. Retha was considered the family comedian, loved to make everyone laugh, and never met a stranger. She really enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle as well.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Marianne Padgett.
She is survived by her partner, Bo Williams; a son, Kenny Head (Lisa); 2 daughters, Ashley Jacobs (Daniel), and Angie Padgett; a brother, Richard Baxter; a sister, Shirley Jones; and grandchildren, Rhett, Luke, Lane, and Shylee.
