Reno A. Ruozzi, age 93, of Plymouth, died on July 14, 2015 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. He was the devoted husband of Margaret M. (Brewster) Ruozzi. Born in Plymouth, MA on April 27, 1922, he was a son of the late Ercole and Argia (Carletti) Ruozzi. He was educated in Plymouth and entered the US Marine Corps in 1942 where he proudly served during World War II with the 1st Regimen 1st Marine Division in the Pacific Campaign (China, Okinawa & Pavuvu). Following his honorable discharge in 1946, he returned home where he worked at Plymouth Rock Cleaners and later became a corrections officer for the Plymouth County House of Corrections. Mr. Ruozzi retired in 1974. He was a lifelong Plymouth resident and was a member of the American Legion Post #40, as well as the Cold Spring Club. He enjoyed gardening, studying about military history, and working with his nephew in the cranberry business. Besides leaving his wife of 66 years, he was the loving father of Paul A. Ruozzi and his wife Paula J. Best Ruozzi of Braintree, MA, and Rita Vecchi and her husband Richard A. Vecchi of Salem, NH. He was the cherished grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 4. Mr. Ruozzi was predeceased by his brother Arthur Ruozzi and sisters Leah Douylliez and Laura Correira.
