Renee Haltzman Newman, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. She was the widow of Jack A. Newman. Born in Bethlehem on April 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Bertie (Shellow) Haltzman.
Renee graduated from Albert Einstein Nursing School and went to work as a registered nurse with St. Luke’s hospital in the psychiatric unit for 38 ½ years before retiring. While working, Renee touched the lives of so many patients and their families that she was constantly getting thanked by them even years after she retired. She was a member of Agudath Achim Congregation. Renee enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, reading and was a phenomenal baker. Above all, she cherished her time spent with her family and friends.
SURVIVORS: Renee will be lovingly remembered by her son, Scott B. Newman; daughter, Marcy L. Schoolcraft; granddaughter, Brianne J. Finelli and brother, Jay Haltzman. She was predeceased by her brother, Harry Haltzman.
