Father of Rene R. Joyce (Kay) and Carol Gueniot (Marcel). Grandfather of James, Jessica, Kerri, Kristi, and Marc. Great Grandfather of Ethan, Skylar, Leilani, and Noah. Son of the late Rene Joyce and Hortense Begue Joyce. He served in the US Marine Corps during WWII as a Gunnery Sgt. in the Pacific. He received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Louisiana Metal of Honor.
