He attended Ben Lomond High School and Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. He worked as a registered nurse for many organizations including McKay Dee Hospital. He also was on the Powder Mountain ski patrol. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and state side as a medical specialist, earning his Expert Field Medical Badge. He was a man of faith his whole life. He enjoyed spending time with family and making memories with his beloved grandchildren. He also enjoyed being outside in nature, camping, traveling, and listening to music.
Rene is survived by his children Brandon Patrick (Teresa) Rodriguez; Angela Renee (Nathan) Skoubye, Chase R (Hailee) Rodriguez, grandchildren Xander Rodriguez, Maxim Rodriguez, Mia Capri Rodriguez , Enoch Skoubye, Samuel Skoubye, Kaia Skoubye, Preslee Rodriguez, Maya Rodriguez, Jemma Rodriguez, siblings Maria, Fortino (Paulie) Rodriguez, Virginia (Larry) Bowen, Stella (Steve Hezeltine) Rodriguez, Armida (Jerry) Earl, Robert (Christine) Rodriguez. Preceded in death by his parents, Fortino and Virginia Rodriguez, siblings Victor and Elena Rodriguez, and many aunts and uncles.
