Renae Stokes Wheeler

Shirley Renae Stokes Wheeler passed away peacefully October 8, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

Renae was born February 10, 1938 to John Edward and Isabel Tucker Stokes. She was raised in Ogden, Utah and attended the local schools: She met Bryan Fred Wheeler on a blind date. Little did they know, from that date would come an eternal marriage, April 24, 1958 in the Logan Temple. They are the parents of seven children who are their pride and joy. They spent most of their lives in Utah with the exception of a short time in Sparks, Nevada. Her final years were spent in Roy.

Family was very important to Mom and she worked hard to keep our family close-knit. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and cooking her signature dishes. Renae worked as a secretary for several companies before retiring from the IRS. She spent many hours serving in the LDS church mostly in Primary and as a visiting teacher.
Renae is survived by her loving husband Bryan Wheeler; sons, Brent (Deanna) Wheeler and Duane (Shylo) Wheeler; daughters, Lois (Troy) Oldham, Karen Wheeler and Kimberley (Adam) Strank, and daughter-inAlaw Jill Wheeler; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; her sister Arlene Hess and brothers Darwin (Marsha) Stokes and Steve (Ann) Stokes. She was welcomed in Heaven by her parents, and two sons: Scott and Jay Wheeler.

We wish to thank the staffs of Mount Ogden Care Center and Symbii Hospice for their compassionate care of Mom.
