Rena Hellenga, 94, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Wednesday morning, December 29, 2004, in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Mrs. Hellenga and her twin sister Sadie were born December 24, 1910, in Three Oaks to George and Martha (Hartog) Portinga. On March 28, 1931, in Crown Point, Indiana, she married Alfred Hellenga. Mr. Hellenga preceded her in death on February 26, 1993. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Three Oaks.
Survivors include her daughters, Joanne Muldoon of St. Joseph, Michigan; Lorraine Toji of Sewell, New Jersey; Diana (Edward) Marsilje of Holland, Michigan and Lorna (Tom) Conrad of St. Joseph, Michigan; grandchildren, Al Muldoon, Jim (Beth) Muldoon, Kristin (Kurtis) Kossen, Karin (James) Monnett and Karl Marsilje; great-grandchild, Kate Monnett; brother Art (Elsie) Portinga of Stevensville, Michigan, her sister-in-law Mildred Carlen of Decatur, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
