Rena Fay VanLandingham, 79, of Newnan passed away December 8, 2021. She was born in Manchester, Clay County KY on May 26, 1942 to the late Hulan and Ivory Benge Garrett. Rena faithfully attended Rehoboth Baptist Church. She also worked with the USPS in Newnan, GA and retired after 25 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, going out to eat at all of the yummy restaurants locally, shopping at Ross and just spending time with her family, friends and her beloved fur baby “Missy”. She was a proud loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and loyal friend. She was truly one of a kind, a wonderful and great Big Sister to all of her siblings, had a very fun, loving & caring personality and she loved the Lord with all of her Heart and Soul. Rena was preceded in death by her parents; Hulan Garrett and Ivory Benge Garrett; husband Charles Bryce (Corky) VanLandingham; brothers, Dewey Garrett and Harold Delbert Garrett; and her sisters, Ivory Garrett Fischer, Doris Ada Morber and Norma Garrett Bryant; Rena is survived by her son Rodney VanLandingham (Janice); her son Chad VanLandingham; grandchildren, Misty, Emily (Jacob), Katelyn, Makayla, Brooklyn, Rodney “RJ”, John, and; brother, Joe S. “Buzz” Garrett (Betty); sister, Lena Kay Bundy (Bill); and many nieces and nephews.
