Reluis K. Smith Reluis K. “Smitty” Smith, 79 of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018, at his home. He was born July 7, 1938, in Goreville, the son of Vivian M. Smith and Fern (Hubbs) Smith. He married Audrey R. Schneider on April 1, 1977, in Kankakee and she survives in Michigan.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is also survived by four children: Richard Smith of California, Darrel M. Smith of California, Wayne Smith of California, and Michelle Perez of California; a stepson: Earl L. Schneider of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren; six sisters and four brothers; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew. Reluis worked for General Motors for 34 years and later retired. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw, Michigan.
