Regina Mae Bolden Jenkins of the age seventy was called to rest with her heavenly family on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford, Delaware with her loving son, Charles at her bedside. Regina was born October 8, 1947 in Federalsburg, Maryland to the late Marjorie Bolden Collins and the late Benjamin Haynes.

Regina received her formal education in the public schools of Dorchester County Maryland.  She was a proud graduate of the class of 1965 at Mace’s Lane High, Cambridge, MD.

Regina was employed for several years at Rob Roy’s Shirt Factory, Cambridge, Maryland until it went out of business. She later was employed by Sisk Fulfillment, Federalsburg, MD. until she happily retired in 2010.

Regina grew up in a Christian home with her grandparents and mother who lived next door to Mount Hope United Methodist Church. She joined Mount Hope at an early age where she remained a faithful member attending regularly until her passing. She was always active in the church and held many offices. She served as a Trustee, Communion Steward, Senior Choir member, Lay Representative of the Annual Peninsula-Delaware Conference and an usher(past president). She also served on the Finance Committee, SPPRC and Worship Committee. Regina loved her church and church family generously donating her time, money and gifts.

Regina had a beautiful voice and loved to sing.

In addition to singing, some of her other interests were tracing family history, shopping at thrift stores and reading. Regina had a genuine love for her family. Her favorite sayings were “You reap what you sow” and “Praise the Lord Saints”.

She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Charles Jenkins, Jr. on December 24, 1983.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son Charles Jenkins, III, Hurlock, MD.; two step daughters Paulette and Cheryl Jenkins, Dover, DE.; two brothers James Bolden(Sandra), Laurel, DE, Dickie Haynes, Federalsburg, MD.; two sisters Gwendolyn Killette, Hurlock, MD, Gloria Smulllen(Emerson), Piscataway, NJ.; three sisters in laws Marian Bolden, Cambridge, MD., Frankie Griffin, Dover, DE, Beatrice Jenkins, Seaford, DE.; one brother in law Linwood Jenkins(Francine), Concord, DE and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends like you.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Regina is preceded in death by her twin Reginald Bolden, brother Lawrence Bolden, sisters Almira “Sally” Bolden, Carolyn Harmon and brother in law Gale Killette.
