Regina “Irene” (Dymarczyk) Galka, 81, of Plainville, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, July 21, 2006.  She was the wife of the late John Vincent Galka.

Regina was born in New Britain on February 1, 1925, daughter of the late Teofil and Antoinette (Ruszczyk) Dymarczyk.   A former New Britain resident, she lived in Plainville for the past 20 years.

She leaves her devoted daughter, Sandra Olbrys of Voluntown; two grandchildren, Danielle Curcuro and her husband, Adam of Ledyard and William Kristoff and his wife, Cheryl of Norfolk, VA; and four great-grandchildren, Madison and Sam Curcuro of Ledyard and Issiac and Lindsay Hrones of Norfolk, VA.  She also leaves her sister, Theresa Pedroline and her husband, Domenic of Plainville; her brother, Steve Dymarczyk and his wife, Stasia of Yalesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony and Walter, a sister, Jenny, and her grandson, Arthur Kristoff, III.
