Regina Marie Dacier was born on 28 June 1933 to parents William and Catherine Curtin in Brooklyn NY. She was their only child.

After attending Hunter College on a full scholarship, majoring in Chemistry, Regina began working in a medical laboratory.

At a New Year’s Eve party hosted by a mutual friend, Regina met Joseph Dacier. They were happily married for 53 years and raised four sons: Richard (Sandra), Tim (Laura), John (Cindy) and Chris (Marianne).

Joseph passed in 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Regina was his constant caregiver during that difficult time.

Her son John passed suddenly in August of this year.

As a member of Widows & Widowers, Regina met fellow Orange, CT resident Bob Thomas.

Regina was driven to excel in her many pursuits. With the League of Women Voters, she advanced to President of the local chapter in Dover, MA.

She organized bus trips from Dover for students to attend various performances at Boston Symphony Hall.

Regina returned to school and earned a degree in Medical Records Management. She then served as Director of Medical Records at several hospitals, including Bridgeport Hospital in CT and Butler Hospital in RI, before retiring and serving as a consultant.

She enjoyed reading and playing the piano, swimming, her gardens, sailing with Joe & her sons, and playing Bridge with friends from Orange and Elim Park.

Regina has two grandchildren, Thomas and Anna, who she adored and was very proud of.

Regina passed away on 28 November 2022.
