He married his only love Martha (Flores) Garcia on November 5, 1971 in Acuna Coahuila, together they lived in Belton for forty years and was an active member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Belton. He worked for Matous Construction in Temple and loved listening to music and singing.
Survivors include his wife Martha Garcia; a daughter, Dora E. Martinez and two grandchildren, Aaron and Eric Martinez.
