Rebecca “Becky” S. Powell was born in 1958 to Orlo “Ed” Murdick and Lois Murdick in South Bend, Indiana. She died Feb. 21, 2022. She is survived by her daughters Lindsay (Martin) and Kasey(Alfred). She grew up in a loving family in Clay Township and attended Clay High School and enjoyed all the usual 70’s pastimes, fashions, and music. She carried that love of music with her throughout her life and had an extensive knowledge of rock and roll, a classic record collection and hundreds of live concerts under her belt. Becky had a love for animals and a talent in bonding with them, rescuing both dogs and cats and even fish. Becky loved to travel, probably in her blood since her parents were avid cross country motorcycle travelers. Becky loved the Southwest, Florida Coast, Rocky Mountains and the Great Lakes region. She was always up for a new adventure. Becky was a loyal friend and generous soul. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious smile. She loved her friends, which she had many of, and made them a very big part of her life. Her friends all cared for her very much and she was surrounded by love from family, friend and animals. Becky worked at Underground Pipe and Valve while she lived in Indiana and Pet Supply company when she lived in Colorado. Her last 10 years were spent being a loving grandmother to her two grandsons. You meant so much to all of us.
