Rebecca “Ruby” Stockton Lindsay, 82, of Penrose, Colorado passed away on September 13, 2021, at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born to the late Sidney L.F. Stockton and Margaret A. (Crumlin) Stockton in Belfast, Northern Ireland (United Kingdom) on September 11, 1939. She married her husband, Thomas “Tom” Lindsay in 1960 and they lived in England, Scotland, and Wales before emigrating to the United States in 1974. They lived in Goose Creek, South Carolina for many years until relocating to Colorado in 2018.

Ruby was a woman of many talents.

Ruby loved listening to Johnny Mathis, following her children through choir and band practices and events, and really liked to sing and play the guitar herself. She also knitted, and in her later days made jewelry. Ruby always put others first, never liking attention on her. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Ruby is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Craig (Gretchen) Lindsay of Torrance, California; brother, Sidney Stockton of Westminster California; granddaughter, Kara Stewart of Orangeburg, South Carolina; and three great-grandchildren, Hailey and Braelyn Grooms of Torrance, California, and Kameron Stewart of Goose Creek, South Carolina. She is also survived by four stepsiblings, Emma Russell, John Stockton, Linda Stockton, and Helen Stockton, all of Canada, plus many nieces, nephews, and their families.
