Rebecca Shindle age 34, of DeMotte, IN passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Christ Hospital, Oak Lawn, IL. She was born on February 26, 1974 at Fort Adkinson, WI to William and Cheryl (Partridge) Leib. Rebecca was a graduate of Morton High School and attended Purdue University for a year and was just accepted at Ivy Tech to become a Registered Nurse.
Rebecca previously was an employee at Kankakee Valley Schools. On June 18, 1994 she married Mark Shindle, who survives with her two sons, Cody & Ethan. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed being with her sons as an assistant coach for soccer and a Football Mom.
Rebecca is survived by her loving husband, Mark, and sons, Cody & Ethan, Mother, Cheryl Leib, Hammond, IN, Brother, Tim (Jessica) Leib, Hobart, IN; Sister, Elizabeth (William) Zato, Hobart, IN; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald & Betty Shindle, DeMotte, IN, Sister-in-laws, Kelly Shindle, DeMotte, IN and Tracy Doughman, Lake Village, IN, Grandfather, Dr. Phillip Leib, Branson, MO; Several nieces, nephews and friends.
