Rebecca S. Hiday, age 68, of Hartford City, IN, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hartford City, IN. She was a member of the Blackford Co Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing the organ, and was an avid reader. She volunteered at the Hartford City Library, the food pantry and Blackford County Hospital. She loved her cat Bessie. She had been formerly employed as head Librian at Taylor University. Evem though she was handicapped she was independent and had a great sense of humor. She was a graduate of Hartford City High School and received a B.S. Degree in Sociology from Ball State University. She was born October 9, 1948 at Marion Indiana to the late Ernest H. and Donna J. (Peterson) Hiday. She is survived by Aunts, Leah (George) Beck, Alexandria, IN and Willie Mae Haisley, Fairmount, IN. Cousins; Kris Beck, Anderson, John Beck, Indianaopolis, Terry Haisely, Richmond, Gary Haisley, and Jerry Haisley, Fairmount., and Jane Woodmansee, Marion, IN. Special friend Phyllis Shade.
