Rebecca McCready Pemberton, (AKA Granny, Grandma) 89, of Ramseur, was called home August 31, 2022 at her residence. She was the daughter of Roland and Mary McCready, the remaining sibling of 6 brothers and one sister whom were very close. She was the Wife of the late Raymond M Pemberton and never remarried after his passing. Granny made it her mission to take care of her children, grandchildren, Great grandchildren (Whatever they need).
She leaves behind, to continue her work, five children; one daughter Linda D. Pemberton Allen, (Norman Allen) and five sons; Raymond Ray Simmons, Gene Thomas Simmons, (Lannie Simmons) Johnny Ray Pemberton, (Donna Pemberton) and Wade Ronnie Pemberton (Linda Pemberton). Rebecca leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Rebecca will be missed for her kind heart, witty replies, her huge heart, and loving soul. Rebecca made it her mission to make sure no one went without, even if it meant she would do without. She will be greatly missed by all. Rebecca was preceded in death by her son, Donald (Pete) Pemberton.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for friends and family showing their love during her final days and the loving care of Brenda Cockman.
