Rebecca Mae Clasen, age 73, of Wisconsin Rapids was called home to God on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.
Rebecca was born October 21, 1948 in Loyal, Wisconsin to Rex and Marjorie (Stayton) Pickett. She met the love of her life, Dr. Richard Clasen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and they married on July 28, 1973 in Nekoosa. They raised two sons together.
Rebecca was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who cared deeply for her family and will be remembered for her giving and generous spirit. She enjoyed music, reading, solving crosswords, cooking, traveling with her grandchildren, and caring for her dogs. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She also enjoyed hosting foreign exchange students and she and Richard hosted many students over the years.
Rebecca is survived by her husband Dr. Richard Clasen, brothers: Stephen Pickett (Grand Rapids) and Scott Pickett (Grand Rapids); sons: Thomas Clasen (Wisconsin Rapids) and Scott Clasen (Thomas L. Howley) (Minneapolis); grandchildren: Madeline Clasen (Madison), Anna Clasen (Stevens Point) and Clara Clasen (Stevens Point).
She was preceded in death by her parents Marjorie and Rex Pickett, and sister Laura Pickett (Nekoosa).
