Rebecca “Becky” Jean Crawford Tucker was born on March 28, 1987, in Newnan, Georgia, and was called home Thursday, March 24, 2011.
Becky graduated from Newnan High School and studied radiology at West Georgia Technical College. Rebecca Jean was the precious daughter of Marcia Ward Tucker and Terry Crawford of Newnan, Georgia. Marcia often described her daughter as a “joy to be around” and was truly blessed to have such a beautiful best friend. All who knew Becky were enriched to have her as a part of their lives. Becky was a devoted wife to her husband, Jason Tucker, PV2 of the United States Army, and a wonderful mother to their two-year-old daughter, Hailey Leann Tucker. Becky, Jason, and Hailey were long-time residents of Newnan, Georgia, and new residents of Manhattan, Kansas, where Jason was stationed at Fort Riley.
Becky’s brothers, Jeremy Ward (Meredith) of Opelika, Alabama, and Curtis McGill of Athens, Georgia, will remember their sister for her vibrant and outgoing personality; she could always bring laughter to any gathering. She was a loving aunt to her two nieces and four nephews. Other survivors include Becky’s step-mother, Lynn Crawford; step-father, John Tucker; mother-in-law, Rhonda Adkins (Chris); step-sisters Andrea Tucker Reeves (Wyatt) and Jennifer Tucker Coffey (David); step-brothers Eric Tucker (Laell), Chase Adkins, Jeffery Nutt, and Christopher Nutt along with many other cherished relatives and friends.
