Rebecca DeFino, fondly known as “Becky”, formerly of Sayreville, New Jersey, died peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her children and her cherished friend, Hortence Williams.  Daughter of Carmina and Vincenzo Gasbarro, Becky was born in the year 1937 in Castel di Sangro, the 6th of 8 children.

Leaving Italy after World War II, Becky came to America at the age of nine, living in Leechburg, Pennsylvania, Red Creek, New York and Hoboken, New Jersey, with her parents and siblings.  In 1958, Becky married the love of her life, Joe DeFino, and together they built a life, a family, and a business.

Becky, a mother of 3 children, owner and Vice President of Joseph DeFino Trucking Co., Inc. was a pioneer for all working women making the practically impossible look effortless.  A timeless beauty.

Becky is now reunited with God, her parents, her husband of 63 years, her sister Anna Nortmaso, and brother, Emedio Gasbarro.

Becky’s light and legacy will live on through her family.  Becky is survived by her loving children, Lella DeFino-Pyonteck, and her husband, John, Hector DeFino and his wife, Cindy, and Marie Mazzarella and her husband, Gary, her cherished grandchildren, Joseph Persing and his wife, Stephanie, Jessica DeFino, Joseph DeFino, Noah DeFino, Nicholas Persing, Gino Mazzarella and his wife, Amy, Valerie DeFino, and Lucas Mazzarella, and two adored great grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Persing and Anthony Mazzarella.  Becky also leaves behind her dear siblings, Mario Gasbarro, Rita DePinto, Mary Francese, Teresa DeCandia and her husband, Nino, and Chris Gasbarro and his wife, Judy.
