Mrs. Rebecca Angelyn (Angie) Goss (née Johnson), of Newnan, GA, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the age of 81. Angie was born to parents James and Rebecca (née Pruitt) Johnson on Dec 4, 1938 in Griffin, GA.
In 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, David Boyd Goss, Jr. Immediately after their wedding, Boyd was stationed in Guam as a member of the Navy, and Angie went with him. She graduated from Griffin High and went on to take courses at University of California, San Diego while Boyd was stationed in San Francisco. During her life, Angie worked many jobs, including store clerk and manager in Guam to bank teller to elementary school librarian to medical staff credentialing specialist. After her retirement, she was able to dedicate much of her time to her hobbies: antiquing, collecting whatever caught her fancy and creating stained glass art. She and Boyd enjoyed just taking the opportunity to drive wherever the road took them to shop, sightsee, and enjoy their time together. She was always looking to learn new things and took classes in painting, clay, and quilting.
Angie is survived by her husband, Boyd; her children, Andrea Campbell, David Goss III and his wife Amanda, and Elizabeth Goss; grandchildren: Austin (and Mary) Campbell, David (and Brittany) Goss IV; Kelsey (and Andy) McMullen, Zachary Goss, Preston Goss, Gracie Goss; Great-Grandchildren: Madison, Skylar and Davey Goss; Liam, Aidan, and Casey Campbell and Ben McMullen.
