Rebecca A. Courtney Brown, 52, Anderson, went home to be with the lord, October 13, 2011 after a courageous battle with an extended illness. She was born September 15, 1959 in Anderson, and was a lifelong resident.
Rebecca was involved in the foreign exchange student program. She had a passion for quilting and art and belonged to the Nevada Quilting Club.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Thomas Brown; her daughters, Nicole Ben Lasley, Sarah Brown Kenny Bowmer, II; grandchildren, Isaiah, Jadeyn, Alan & Christine; father, Larry Courtney; siblings, Sherry Byrns of Las Vegas, NV, Danny Saloum Cox of Ft. Wayne, Jennifer Bolton of Anderson and Candy Courtney of Las Vegas, NV and a number of nieces and nephews along with many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Ress Courtney and grandparents, Victor and Essie Ress.
