Reathon Loder, 76, of Cassopolis, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 in Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo.
He was born December 4, 1936 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Lehomer and Daisy (Monroe) Loder. He married Sharon Harris September 12, 1975 in Cassopolis, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister, Arzetta Bush; and one brother Ben Loder.Reathon served in the U.S. Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. He was active in many things.
Reathon taught Sunday School and served as the Superintendent. His favorite Scripture was the Twenty-third Psalm. His favorite song was “I Woke Up this Morning with My Mind Still on Jesus.” He was an avid bowler.
Family and friends will greatly miss Reathon. He is survived by his four daughters, Angela Aldridge of Buffalo, N.Y., Yolanda Loder of New York, N.Y., Jennifer Loder of Cassopolis, Cheryl Hill of St. Paul, MN; two sons, Ronald Horton of New York, N.Y., Stanley Loder of Cassopolis; ten grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Tamper Loder of Cassopolis, Christopher Loder of Buffalo, N.Y.; one sister in law, Mary Loder of Buffalo, N.Y.; and one brother in law, Charles Bush of Sacramento, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
