Raymond Wayne Rider, 78, of Lincolnton passed away March 18, 2020 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. Raymond was born March 30, 1941 to the late Richard Warren and Christine Heese Rider in Deerwood, Minnesota. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Kay Truitt Rider. Raymond retired from Duke Power after many years working as a nuclear maintenance manager at McGuire Nuclear Station. He served in the Navy with the rank of Petty Officer for 11 years. Raymond was very proud of his service to his country.
Raymond is survived by three daughters; Paige Rider and spouse Jennifer Rider, Charla R. Wiggins, and husband Tyler, and Christy R. Rhyne, and three grandchildren; Elizabeth Wiggins Fordham and husband, Boatswain’s Mate Blake Fordham, Cassie Rhyne, and Jason Rhyne.
