Raymond ‘Spin’ Isaac, 93, of Plainville, Indiana, passed away surrounded by family, on Friday, September 14, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Daviess County, Indiana on May 15, 1925 to Perry Keye and Flossie (Alcorn) Isaac. Raymond married Vera Pauline (Bush) Isaac on January 7, 1951.

Raymond was a US Navy/ Coast Guard WWII, Flying Seabee Veteran, serving on the USS San Jacinto CVL30 Aircraft Carrier, which was the same one that President George H.W. Bush served on. He worked at Crane, farmed, was a heavy equipment operator and hauled livestock for the Daviess County community. He retired in 1987. Raymond enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and being the flagman for the Plainville Lions Club Go-Cart and Motorcycle Races.

Survivors include: his wife, Vera Isaac of Plainville; one daughter, Paula K. (Leonard) Counsil of Plainville; grandchildren, Jamie (Darrell) Wagler of Plainville and Tyler (Jenilee) Counsil  of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Isaac Wagler, Roland Counsil, Molly Counsil, Audrey Counsil, Rose Counsil and Quint Counsil; one sister, Marilyn Fraser of Elnora.

Raymond was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Hershel and Randall Isaac; sisters, Maxine Duzan, Hazel Isaac, Mae Plough, Pauline Easley, Eleanor Bays, Frances Owen and Bonnie Klutey.
