Raymond J. Rogerson, age 81, was born in Cambridge, England on March 30, 1927, passed away April 16, 2008, in Boerne, Texas. During World War II, he was part of The Group involved in Decoding the Enigma Machine at Bletcher Park for the British Ministry. After the war Raymond joined the Foreign Service, travelling extensively in the Middle and Far East for fourteen years. He emigrated to the U.S.A., attending Baptist University in North Carolina. Later travels included working on the Dew Line in Alaska with electronics. After Alaska he moved to New Zealand for a short time. Moving back to the U.S. he worked for the Boeing Corporation in California for fifteen years. Upon retiring he discovered Boerne, his favorite place in all his travels, where he was able to pursue his love of art, painting and his enjoyment of Ballroom Dancing. He was part of the “Boerne Brits”, a small group sharing their British Heritage.
