Raymond Richard Miner passed away September 5, 2020. He was born October 21, 1934 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Stanley and Vida (Zimmerman) Miner.
Raymond graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1953, where he met his lifelong friends, Al Dudley, Frank Clingan, Jack Laugheed, and Gene Umlor (surviving). He then met Lois Rinehart soon after and they were married on August 4th, 1956 and remained married until she passed on November 7, 1996. He was a member of the Local 357 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 63 years and was a lifelong member of the Richland Masonic Lodge.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Miner, his sisters, Blanche Balis and Linda Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Cathy (Dean) Clear, Stanley (Barbara) Miner, and Brian (Ann) Miner; grandchildren, Melissa Underly, Michael (Tayla) Underly, Jason (Allison) Miner, Justin (Sarah) Miner, Rachel Miner, Raymond Miner; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Lamb and Sue Burdick; several nieces and nephews; and many friends and fans that knew him as “Grampa Ray Miner.”
