Mr. Raymond R. Caya, 95, of Plainville passed away Wednesday November 8, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Shirley (Rivers) Caya, who was the love of his life and with whom he shared 69 years of marriage.
Raymond was born December 12, 1921 in Grand Mere, Quebec, Canada a son of the late Herve’ and Rose (Gauthier) Caya. He proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army-Air Corps during World War II in the South Pacific attaining the rank of Sergeant.
Raymond leaves his daughter, Shirley L. Caya of Bristol, his grandson Troy R. Caya of Bristol, five grandchildren, his great grandson, many nieces and nephews and Grace Dagata, who Raymond and Shirley raised as a daughter. He was predeceased by his son, Jerry Caya, his brothers, Benoit and Roger Caya and his sister Mona Caya.
