Raymond Arthur Obernuefemann, 86, of O’Fallon, Ill., born September 2, 1920 in O’Fallon, Ill, died Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill. Raymond was a retired Tool & Die maker and founder of AAA Tool & Machine Company in O’Fallon, Ill. He was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, a Charter Member of the O’Fallon Knights of Columbus Council #4239, Board of Directors of Our Lady of the Snows Shrine, Secretary of the Holy Name Society and a Veteran of World War II, stationed in New Guinea, serving in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents; Michael & Annie Obernuefemann (nee Faust), 5 brothers; Ralph, Michael, Clarence, Cletus & Delmar Obernuefemann.
Raymond is survived by his wife; Angeline Obernuefemann (nee Kreher), whom he married February 18, 1947. 7 children, William & (Gerry) Obernuefemann of Belleville, Ill., Karen & (Bob) Brown of O’Fallon, Ill., Marilyn & (David) Wedell of Chesterfield, MO., Kenneth & (Marla) Obernuefemann of Belleville, Ill., Bev & (Don) Hinkle Jr. of Swansea, Ill., Kathy A. Schildknecht & Scott Urban of O’Fallon, Ill., Jean & (Carl) Marsh of Liberty Hill, TX. and 1 sister; Lucille Kombrink of O’Fallon, Ill. 13 grandchildren; Amy & (John) Mika, Kelly Obernuefemann, Rob & (Rachel) Brown, Ryan & Jason Brown, Christopher Wedell, Christy & Matthew Obernuefermann, Ashley Hinkle, Bret Schildknecht, Jordan, Jessica, & Jaclyn Marsh. 3 great grandchildren; Kelsey, Abby & Sophie Mika.
