Raymond “Ray” Leroy Pierce, 79, of Amston passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday (October 7, 2016).
Born April 7, 1937 in Newark Valley, NY and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. He will most be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, playing Horseshoes, his love of bowling and playing with the East Hartford Teachers Bowling league and his various Pearls of Wisdom that he so frequently shared with those around him.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, Natalie Pierce of Amston; sons, Stephen Pierce and his wife, Clara of East Hartford, Keith Pierce of Lebanon and Craig Pierce of Amston; grandchildren, Chenoa Pierce-Atkins and her husband Steven of Lake Grove, NY, Tashauna Pierce of Colchester and Adam Pierce of Grand Junction, IA; a brother-in-law, Tony Generous and his wife Nancy of Plainfield, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
