NEW HARTFORD – Raymond Joseph Grigos, 80, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at Hartford Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Patricia K. Grigos of 54 wonderful years. Born in Winsted on June 14, 1942; the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Lord) Grigos. Raymond attended Winsted schools and graduated from Bentley College in Boston. He also served in the U.S. Army. Ray worked in the Insurance Industry for 45 years and was a retiree from the State of Connecticut. He enjoyed collecting coins and was a member and secretary of the Litchfield County Coin Club. Ray also volunteered at several local food banks and animal shelters. He was an avid cat lover and Red Sox addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey and his wife Heather of Torrington and Jason and his wife Cathy of West Hartford; four grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife Sierra Grigos with future great grandson, Remington on the way, Jonathan Grigos, Jasmine Grigos and Cathlyn Grigos; three brothers, Robert “Steve” Grigos and wife Carol, Richard Grigos and wife Lauren and James Grigos and wife Joanne; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
