Raymond James O’Connor, 84, of O’Fallon, IL, born September 11, 1932, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Raymond served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years and retired as a Tech Sergeant. He was the past Post Commander of the O’Fallon VFW Post 805 and the past President of the American Legion of O’Fallon Post 137. Raymond was an avid bowler and enjoyed all sports.
He also loved camping, fishing, traveling and seeing the world. He will be remembered as being very devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen O’Connor and his parents. Raymond is survived by one son and one daughter, James Raymond O’Connor of O’Fallon, IL and Sandra O’Connor-Stelzer of Belleville, IL; two brothers, Arthur (Kay) O’Connor of Olathe, KS and Robert O’Connor of Menands, NY; and one grandchild, W.M. Scott (Christine) Stelzer of Belleville, IL.
