Raymond Jackson Morrow, age 89, of Newnan, died October 30, 2007, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. A native of Coweta County, he was born September 16, 1918, the son of the late Marvin and Clara Moore Morrow. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a sister, Rosalee Kates and his beloved wife Marjorie Jackson Morrow. His working career was spent as a welder at Newnan’s historic R. D. Cole Mfg. Co. which became Brown Steel prior to his retirement. Raymond was an active participant in the ministries of Newnan First Baptist Church as long as his health permitted. He also enjoyed the fellowship of serving as a hospital volunteer.
Surviving Mr. Morrow are his children, Ronnie Morrow and his wife Shirley of Piedmont, AL and Linda Morrow Foster and her husband Ronnie of Tiger, GA. His grandchildren are Rhonda Mathis and her husband Frankie, Randy Morrow, Renee Coleman and her husband Jamey, and David Foster and his wife Wanda. His sisters are Virginia Walls, Loreen Thomas and Morelle Fernstrom. There are 13 great-grandchildren and also nieces and nephews.
