Raymond J. Kors, age 90, passed away January 13, 2018 at Pulaski County Memorial Hospital, Winamac, Indiana. Raymond was a resident of Francesville, also having lived in Crown Point, Indiana. He was born in Hammond, Indiana on January 4, 1928, the son of Joseph and Rose (Eberla) Kors. Raymond joined the U.S. Army on April 15, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He served overseas, receiving the Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. Raymond was discharged at Ft. Sheridan, Illinois on March 25, 1947 with the rank of PFC.

On August 6, 1955, Raymond married Bernice E. Critser in St. John, Indiana. Bernice preceded him in death in 1996.

For over 40 years Raymond worked as a pipe machinist with Local #141. He was a bird watcher, liked to dance and listen to music, enjoyed riding around on his scooter, traveling, spending time in Florida and was an avid Notre Dame fan. Raymond was a member of both the Monticello American Legion and the V.F.W.

Raymond is survived by one daughter, Krystal Woodard of Medaryville, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Cris Kors, sister Evy (Leo) Zaug of Florida, sister-in-law Pat Kors of Cedar Lake, Indiana, eleven grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bernice, two sons, Ty and Richard, three sisters and one brother.
