On November 12, 2007, Raymond J. “Boe” Kirby, 82, beloved husband, devoted father, and loving grandfather passed away at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Ray, a World War II veteran worked at the United States Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay for 34 years until he retired in 1980. He belonged to the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge, NARFE, American Legion, VFW Post 40, volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 16 years, and was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Baltimore.
