Raymond Harrell Ogg was born on November 11, 1931, in Centralia, Illinois. He was the youngest of six children born to James and Amelia Ogg. He passed into eternal life on Friday November 18, 2022, in Littleton, Colorado. Ray was 91 years old at the time of his death.

Ray graduated from Salem Community High School in Salem, Illinois in 1949. He was drafted into the U.S Army in 1952, and was stationed in Yeongdeungpo, South Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1954 after the sudden death of his brother, Harry.

Ray was a big band enthusiast, who would proudly show off his collection of artists from the 1930’s and 1940’s. After Ray retired from Conoco in 1987, he and Norma spent their time traveling the United States with their fifth wheel camper. They built their dream home in Woodland Park, CO and spent the winters in Mesa, Arizona. They moved back to the Denver areain 2004, to spend more time with their young grandchildren. Ray spent his time riding his bike to the local middle school as the crossing guard, walking with the grandkids to and from the elementary school, and continuing his Big Band Music and family genealogy hobbies.

Ray is preceded in death by his five siblings, Julia, Alice, Harry, James, and Robert, as well as his son Christian. He is survived by his wife, Norma; children Aurora, Andrea, Anne-Marie (husband Dain), and Paul; grandchildren Nathan, Rachel, (husband Rod) William, Grace (husband Sam), and Gabrielle; great-grandchildren Eve, Freya, and Georgie.
