Raymond Glen Reed, born August 12, 1933, went home to be with the Lord and join his parents, George and Edith Reed, on September 29, 2015. Raymond was a Colorado native, living in Delta County most of his life. He had lived in Grand Junction for the last ten years. Raymond led a long life, but finally succumbed to cancer at the age of 82.
Raymond graduated from Hotchkiss High School and signed up to be a Marine at the age of 18. He served largely in Japan and returned to Colorado to work as a Uranium Miner, Orchard Worker, and Farmer in various areas of Colorado, retiring in the Hotchkiss, CO, area until his parents died.
Raymond left a sister, Georgia “Marie” Hale (Clee, deceased), of Yukon, OK and a brother, Leonard T. Reed (Bertha), of Grand Junction, CO. Raymond was never married but left behind Six Nieces and Nephews…Cherye (Arnie) Molina of Yukon, OK, Ed Hale of Yukon, OK, Becky Quinn of Grand Junction, CO, Susan (Dewayne) McMurtrey of Yukon, OK, Rhonda (Ed) Pastelak of Jasper, IN, and Bobby (Janika) Reed of Grand Junction, CO; Ten Great Nieces and Nephews…Matthew Molina, Melissa Quinn Jensen, Michael Molina, April Quinn Patten, Ashley Pastelak, Timothy Pastelak, Lea Shawn Reed, Ryan Pastelak, Dewey Reed, and Suezanne McMurtrey; and Two Great, Great Nieces and Nephews…”Remy” Jensen and Elizabeth Patten.
