Born, October 4, 1936 in Williamsport, MD son of the late Van D. and Thelma Palmer.

Raymond was employed by Western Electric & AT&T retiring in 1995.

He proudly served his country during the Korean conflict in the United States Army.

He was a member of Mediary Lodge #140 AF&AM Williamsport, MD, Potomac Fish & Game Club, Potomac Post #202 American Legion Williamsport, MD, Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM Williamsport, MD, and Moose Lodge #2462.

He enjoyed playing golf and being with his friends at the clubs.

Wife: Janet Palmer married for 44 years of Williamsport, MD

Son: Raymond D. Palmer, II of Williamsport, MD

Daughter: Diana Sullivan and her husband James of Minot, Maine

Daughter: Cynthia Piper and her husband Mitchell of Manassas, VA

Grandchildren: Hannah Sullivan, Isaac Sullivan and Bryce Piper

Sister: Patti Jean Koons and her husband George of Hagerstown, MD

Sister: Sonja Hornbaker of Hagerstown, MD

He was preceded in death by his brothers Van Dorn Palmer, Jr. and Robert Lee “Fritz” Palmer and sister Ada Fish.
