Raymond Eugene Taylor, 84, died Thursday Jan. 10, 2013 in Greenwood. He was a resident of Greenwood and formerly of New Whiteland and Bedford. Raymond was born April 27, 1928 in Bedford to Charles B. and Grace (Horning) Taylor. He married Oleta Cooper in 1949 in Bedford. He was a die corrector for Kawneer Company in Franklin; retiring in 1990. Raymond enjoyed woodworking, fishing and watching NASCAR, I.R.L. and Indy Car racing. He was an Indiana University Basketball fan.
Survivors include his son, Larry (Dianne) Taylor of Whiteland, a sister, Rose Grimes of Brownsburg, a brother, Donald (Margie) Taylor of Indianapolis, grandson, Brian Taylor of Franklin and great-granddaughter, Maggie Taylor of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles B. and Grace Taylor, his wife, Oleta Taylor in 1997, sister, Mae Lagle and two brothers, Robert Taylor and Charles Taylor.
