Mr. Raymond Edwin Wilson, 83 of Dalton, went home to be with the Lord Thursday April 7, 2016, in his home surrounded by his loving wife, daughters, grandkids and church family . Mr. Wilson was a loving husband and thought the world of his grandbabies. He enjoyed family time and attending church services at Antioch Baptist when he was able. He was also a Veteran of the Korean War where he proudly served one full term in the United States Army and another full term in the United States Air Force, both of active duty, and was honorably discharged in September of 1951.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother; Verlie and Stella Johnston Wilson, his brothers; Wayne Wilson and Donald Wilson; his son Raymond Edwin “Eddie” Wilson Jr.; his grandson, Chance Campbell and his father in-law Marshell Bearden. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Deborah Wilson of Dalton, 4 daughters; Jessica Huffman, Jane Campbell and partner Michael Long, Shay and Josh Motley, all of Dalton, and Elaine Wilson of Chatsworth; his brother and sister in law, Gary and LaDoane Wilson of Dalton and 6 grandchildren, Vince Motley, Ashley Campbell, Dalton Motley, Matthew Petty, Jorden Petty and Averie Long, all of Dalton.
