Raymond Earl Smith, 88, of Clarksburg, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 following an extended illness. He was born March 29, 1922 in Elkins, WV, the son of the late Ernest Smith and Martha Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Leona Dussart Smith, his son Kenneth Smith and his step-son Danny Dussart. Mr. Smith is survived by one son Steven Smith and companion Vanita “Dede” Hayhurst; one step daughter; Lucinda Dussart White and husband Denver of Adelphi, MD; one daughter-in-law; Frances Smith of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren; John White and wife Sarah of Annapolis, MD, Susan White of Columbia, MD, Amy Blasey and husband Mike of Prince Frederick, MD, Kenny Smith of Clarksburg, Louis Smith and wife Hope of Bridgeport, Amanda DiPasquale of TN, Jacob Smith of Clarksburg; great-grandchildren; Zachary, Zoey, and Chloe Smith; Annie Ross and Tony Goots., Reid White, Elias White, Danielle, Samantha and Alexandra Blasey and Joseph Smith. He was a Tech 5th Grade with Company B during WWII and he worked as a Glass Worker for Anchor Hocking and Hazel Atlas.
