Raymond Edward Littleford, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on April 7th surrounded by his family. He was born in Camden and lived most of his life in Burlington, N.J. He graduated from Burlington City High School in 1944 and then enlisted in the Air Force, where he served as a cryptographer during World War II. After his military service, he returned to Burlington. He worked as an Instrument Technician at Rohm & Haas for 37 years and maintained his friendships with his coworkers throughout his retirement.

With a boundless zest for life, Mr. Littleford devoted much energy to civic and community organizations. He served as a Burlington City Councilman for 20 years, was the Director of the McFarland Post Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps, was active with the American Legion and was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He was predeceased by his first wife of 37 years, Catherine (Cristoforo) Littleford, his second wife, Cammie (Mohr) Littleford, and his brother Charles J. Littleford, Jr. He dearly loved his family and is survived by his children Ray Littleford, Jr., Kathleen Errickson (Joseph), Sandra Elles (Charles) and Suzanne Littleford; his grandchildren Christopher Littleford, Tia Devita (Michael), Lisa Zink (Michael), Jennifer Patriarca (Michael), Ashley Elles and Christina Elles; and his nieces Laura Littleford and Carol Ann Cannon (Charles).

He was blessed to be adored by eleven great grandchildren and he spent many happy days surrounded by their love at his beach house in Sea Isle City.
