Raymond Barra, 88, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Sept. 23, 2011 in The Arden House. He was the devoted husband for 66 years to Belinda Perfetto Barra. Mr. Barra was born in New HavenJan. 24, 1923, son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Mazzaro Barra. A mechanic for the former Adley Express Co. for 40 years, Ray was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aero Space Workers, Lodge # 447. Besides his wife, he is survived by his special nieces and their husbands, Katherine and Michael McManus and Marguerite and Paul Petrucci, and their children. Also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Nicholas Barra and two sisters, Lena Alegi and Angelina Vitello.
