Raymond B. Fortuna, Sr., 75, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Ray was a resident on Toms River for 58 years. He was a mechanic and owner of Plaza Automotive, Toms River, for many years. Ray’s favorite past time was racing at Wall Stadium for over 50 years. He was a parishioner of St. Justin the Martyr RC Church, Toms River.
Ray was predeceased by his beloved wife, Catheline, on January 11, 2008. Surviving are his four children, Raymond Fortuna, Jr. and his wife Ila of Metuchen, NJ, Richard Fortuna and his wife Judy of Lake George, NJ, Philip Fortuna and his wife Donna of Toms River, and Sherriane Scordo and her husband Scott of Tinton Falls, NJ, and nine grandchildren Stephen, Zachary and Matthew Fortuna; Christopher and Corey Fortuna; Kaylee and Cathryn Fortuna; Sarah and Tyler Scordo.
