Raymond A. Carver, 71 passed away peacefully on June 11, 2016 with family by his side.

Ray was born September 19, 1944 in Wilder, Idaho, to William and Viola Carver. He was the 9th out of 10 children. He grew up in Wilder where he met and married his first wife, Janette Ware. Together they had Steven (Sherri) Carver and Sandra McLeod. Ray and Janette divorced upon his return from the Army. He then met Catherine Miller and they settled in Greenleaf.  Together they raised a combined family, Lucinda (Derrick) Tabish, Fred (Susan) Garza, Pamela (Chuck Fuqua) Garza, Christopher (Kristina) Carver, and KimberLee (Mark Fuller) Carver.

Ray was a hard working man that always had a project in the works. He loved “the oldies” and passed his love of music on to his children and grandchildren. He could sing the words to every song and even at the point where his body didn’t cooperate you could see the joy in his eyes when the music played.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Don Carver, Elsie Robee, Imogene Schimmels, Barbara Marchant, Alvin Carver and William Hoyt Carver Jr.

He is survived by his sister Betty Johnson, brothers Ron (Linda) Carver, and Rick (Angie) Carver, his 7 children, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Carver family would like to say a special Thank you to Kindred Care in Caldwell (Canyon West) for the many years of love and support they have showed to Ray. He loved his “extended family” and it was very obvious how much they loved him.

Parkinson’s may have had a hold of your body while you were on this earth but now you are free to drive your tractor, fish whenever you like and build whatever you want.  We love and miss you Dad!
