Raymond A. Timmons, 97, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Raymond was born February 27, 1922 in Irvington, IL, the son of Rolla A. Timmons and Bessie L. Flanigan. He married Ethel (Watkins) Timmons on May 21, 1939, and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2003.

Raymond is survived by two daughters: Becky Kleiboeker and husband Duane of Centralia, and Bonnie Monken of Centralia; twelve grandchildren: Pam Schaeffer of Centralia, Jeffery Scott Bauer and wife Liz of Centralia, Gregory Crundwell and wife Jennifer of Salem, Robin Monken of Hoffman, Tony Monken of Belleville, Craig Monken and wife Beth of Hoffman, Lisa Erlinger and husband Dave of Dix, Guy Monken and wife Gina of Hoffman, Amy Brandt and husband Michael of Hoffman, Brandy Donnewald and husband Mike of Carlyle, Bradley Kleiboeker and wife Renee of Nashville, and Tracy Kleiboeker and wife Beth of Shattuc; nineteen great grandchildren: Courtney Kolesar and husband JJ, Jacob Schaeffer and wife Robyn, Josh Bauer and wife Audrey, Zach Bauer and wife Stephanie, Elizabeth Bauer, Jaret Crundwell, Drew Crundwell, Tyler Smith, Amanda Monken, Eric Monken, Cody Yates and Lauren, Colt Yates, Wyatt Erlinger, Sadie Monken, Miranda Monken, Abby Brandt, Remy Donnewald, Erin Kleiboeker, and Ali Kleiboeker; five great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Rosie Timmons of Centralia, and Irene Timmons of Chicago; numerous nieces, nephew, and cousins.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents: Rolla and Bessie Timmons; wife: Ethel Timmons; daughter: Barbara J. Timmons; four brothers: Ira Timmons and wife Margaret, Hobart Timmons and wife Wilhemine, Harold Timmons, and Donald Timmons; three sisters: Grace Smith and husband Ernest, Beatrice Jarrell and husband Shorty, Ruth Robertson and husband Henry O’Brien.

Raymond worked in Construction all his life. He was the member of the Laborers Local 19. He was avid fisherman. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.
