Raymond A. Briggs, 67, of Jackson, NJ died on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Raymond was born in Neptune, NJ, and raised in Farmingdale, NJ until moving to Jackson, NJ.
He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. during Vietnam. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #469 out of Hazlet, NJ. Raymond worked as a Bulk Driver for Clayton Concrete in Lakewood, NJ., and enjoyed raising racing pigeons.
Raymond is predeceased by his parents Harold and Ruth Briggs and his brother Harold “Sonny” Briggs.
He is survived by his wife Doris Briggs nee Woytanowski of Jackson, NJ; his sons Steven Briggs and Chris Shanabarger both of FL; his daughters Michele Warren of ME, Phyllis Zullo of OH, and Kelly Masi of Little Egg Harbor, NJ; his brothers Richard Briggs of Freehold, NJ and Kenneth Briggs of VA; his sister Linda Mills; 22 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
