Mr. Rayford “Ray Ray” Cross, age 70, of Lanett, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Bethany House in Auburn, AL.
Mr. Cross is survived by his wife, Billye Joyce Cross; his two step-daughters, Kim (Larry) Bonner and Mandy (John) Newman; his two sisters, Lanita (James) Clark and Cindy (Larry) Skipper; his six grandchildren, Sami Jo Snider, Lawson Bonner, Greyson Bonner, Grace Newman, Morgan Newman, and Spencer Newman; his nephew, Bogey (Cyndee) Cotney; his nieces, Tammy Hatchett and Ashley Skipper; his great nephews, Bruce Cotney and Adrian Monroe; his great nieces, Sunshine Cotney and LeAnna Batson.
He was preceded in death by his patents, the Rev. Elmer and Annie Cross; and his granddaughter, Meagan Bonner.
Mr. Cross was born on March 9, 1947 in San Antonio, TX. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a very outgoing gentleman who never met a stranger. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed music and movies and he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
