Rayfield Dubose (Punch) was born January 5, 1947. He was the oldest living son on the late Mack and Nancy Dubose.
Ray graduated in 1966 from Choctaw County Training School, Lisman, AL and relocated to Columbus, Ohio until his health failed and returned home. Upon returning home, Ray rejoined his home church, John The Baptist, where he served until his death.
Ray worked 25 years for Marlboro Steel Corporation, Columbus, Ohio. He was a concrete finisher with AC Halsell.
Ray’s favorite pastime was fishing, hunting and gardening.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: five children, one preceded him in death, Raymond Dubose; Renee (Anthony) Sankey, Tracie Dubose, Randy Dubose and Jamal Dubose, all of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Leo (Peggy) Dubose, Wil (Christine) Dubose, both of Alabama; Alfred (Mary) Dubose of New Jersey; three sisters, Floretta Dubose Williams and Clara Mitchell of Alabama; Darlene Dubose-Noble of New Jersey; many grandchildren and great grandchildren of Ohio and Florida; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends; three special friends, Brenda and Anne of Columbus, Ohio and Joanna Kelley of Bessemer, Alabama.
